I am so excited about each family's pictures from the Portrait Party! I wish I could put all of the pictures up here for everyone to see. Hopefully you will catch a glimpse of how beautiful and unique each family was. I honestly couldn't have asked for better people to photograph - every family was absolutely wonderful.

I hope that the holidays will be brightened with these beautiful photos! Thank you so much to each family that came to the Portrait Party!

thomas & evie

thomas and evie's wedding was colorful and beautiful. the quaint town of forest city, where they married, stole my heart as soon as i was driving through. it was lovely! perfect for this beautiful couple. they are definitely meant for each other...and it was proven when thomas caught the garter and evie caught the bouquet at bill and michelle's wedding!

congratulations to the beams!

portrait party fun

the portrait party was a complete success! all the families that came were absolutely perfect. we had huge families, small families, young families, old families, crazy families, fun families, and most of all - families full of love. it was amazing!

elizabeth and i were on location at 7:30am and we didn't leave until 7:30pm. both of us skipped breakfast in favor of extra coffee, and our plans changed so we weren't able to scoot out for lunch. but luckily my dad & fam brought us krispy kreme doughnuts.... which we consumed happily the rest of the day! i think all the sugar and caffeine helped us keep up with the kids' energy!

this day is going to make tons of families smile a lot. more pictures are coming soon!

It's Party Time !

I am so excited about this! My old roomie Elizabeth and I are throwing a "Portrait Party" on November 8th for any of you out there who are looking for a wonderful Christmas family picture!

I know if my family had something like this available like this throughout the years, we would have definitely jumped on it. My mom was an absolute champ at sending out Christmas cards every single year. (Mom, my face is tired of smiling! Mom, can we please take a break! Mom, don't you think 5 rolls of film is enough?! Mom, this sweater is itchy!) I think if she could have given up all of our complaining for a 30 minute shoot, she would have.

So yes! Our sessions will only be 30 minutes, unless you want a 60 minute session in which you will get a discount (oh yeah!). It will include 1 CD with all the best images from the shoot, with rights to copy! That means you can order the Christmas Cards YOU want, you can get that special picture and frame for grandma, or you can enlarge and frame it for a lovely addition to your home.

So check it out! Sign up! It's going to be fun, easy-going, and oh-so-Christmasy!

ashley & brian

what a beautiful wedding! every little detail was so colorful and thought through. we were a bit nervous right before the ceremony because these dark clouds were lurking nearby, but they decided to push through and have it outside. it was the right decision! perfect weather: warm, a bit overcast, and a nice breeze. it was lovely.

the reception to follow was a blast. the details of the arrangements were fabulous, and the cake was beautiful! after eating some great food, the guests enjoyed dancing for quite sometime. but i must say... the flower girl really had some moves! she loved that dance floor! it was so much fun being a part of ashley and brian's big day.
